The damaged cable should have been from my Sylvania player.

The damaged cable on my Sylvania player needed to be replaced. The wire started fraying and shorting out, and the fuses started blowing. With this replacement, he has done his job of powering the Sylvania Player. However, there was a lot of engine noise coming out of the player's speakers. I have never experienced that with the original car charger.
