First of all I read so many good/bad reviews about this product and realized that installing a dog guard in my house is not as difficult as it used to be and the reason why I have this Bought it because of reviews and price, but lesson learned, you get what you pay for. The quality of the plastic isn't thick or strong, so it feels rather flimsy and cheap. The locking mechanism doesn't work smoothly and you have to make a real effort to get it to lock. The locking piece will only lock securely if you line up the handle with the center hole (there are 3 of them). As a result, part of the stern broke. Even if I put it up, it still doesn't stay straight. It is wobbly and bent (see photo). I am returning this product and buying durable wood again. I do not recommend this plastic product for your pets.
