ok but could be (much) better

I bought this for my cat (5 year old himalayan siamese mix, 9 to 10lbs, she got small, fits her great ) because I liked the pun on her donut design. Everything was fine, but there is one egregious thing I would like to be warned about (or better warned if I missed something that was in the description). It's thinner than I expected. It's not terrible, just pretty flat. She can still reach the edge of her hind thighs, tail, and hind legs when stretching. If you don't mind refilling this after purchase (assuming the seam allowances allow; I'm too bad at sewing to try) this would probably be better. I've seen people complain about the black zip security tie and in my experience that was fine. I just dragged it so that it was on the other side where she can't reach it and could possibly hurt herself. Also, I read here that it's at least partly velvet? (I remember because I hate touching velvet due to my sensory issues, but I figured it would be ok since I wouldn't be wearing it). " indeed. And I touched the main pillow and my sensory issues were fine, which I think confirms that this particular product wasn't mislabelled, but it's not actually velvet (again, velvet is irritating to my skin, so would I know it was there). I agree, of course I don't like velvet, but it's just such an odd inconsistency for a supposedly professional company. What the heck? But the BIG PROBLEM I wasn't aware of is this article is dry clean only. The label on the item says "Wash separately. Professional dry clean only. I highly doubt this is machine washable. I would not have bought this had I known about it (and I'm sorry if I did I just I missed where it was written, but I didn't see it anywhere before buying it.) It's such an inconvenience.Especially for a product that's made partially for cats.Si e lick things. A lot. And a recovery collar, especially soft in the form of a pillow (aka: donut), which and lets the cat not lick it, but lick it. Especially if the animal is anxious (many would be concerned as they have either been injured or had surgery to wear a collar on top of the weird experience of having such a big thing around their neck). or has anxiety issues (which my cat does, causing her to lick herself excessively to calm herself). I want to be able to support this thing and not let it get ugly. I don't want to buy several of these in my lifetime. I also don't want to spend a decent amount of money on cleaning every time I use this, especially when I'm already in pain from a recent vet visit (especially x2 as none of my stuff is drying out). only clean so I would ONLY go for this collar). I personally feel uncomfortable returning it as no cat has licked it that badly and I was in dire need of a recovery collar regardless of whether the item was washable. And again, that's normal for what I have I guess. Not very good, but enough for what I need for this week or so (thank goodness she's in a position where she can reach the edge of her hamstrings, all of her cock, and her tiny legs; I think I would be even more annoyed .) I'll just keep using it until it's gross and I'll buy another one around the same time. One that I can just shove in the wash at will and hopefully leave her unable to get more of her body. Again, I'm ok with that for now, so I'm giving it a few stars as it does enough. his job at the moment is to fight them (and who knows, maybe magically it never gets hard (highly unlikely, but I can dream, right?)). But I do NOT recommend this product.
