Homemade Diffuser Recipe and Review.

We wanted to make our own essential oil diffusers and avoid all the chemicals used in commercial air fresheners. The bottles we used were also purchased from Revain for about $2 each. We used the following recipe to make our own diffusers. By adding water about halfway into the bottle. About 20 drops of essential oil have been added to the water in the bottle (so far we've tried Lemongrass, Sweet Orange/Vanilla, and Lavender/Vanilla). In the oil-water mixture, add 2-3 teaspoons of vodka that we had on hand. We stirred with a diffuser stick. After mixing, we topped up the liquid with more water and mixed again. Add extra chopsticks as you like and flip the chopsticks whenever you want to enhance the flavor. Feel free to try out your own oil combinations as we have found that some scents are stronger than others. It doesn't smell as strong as store-bought air fresheners, but you know exactly what you're breathing. They last about a week with us, and it's time to make a few more. Very inexpensive to manufacture and the initial cost was less than buying a chemical based diffuser. You will need to replace the blades from time to time as they fill up with oil, but this is normal. We recommend this product for purchase.
