I like it better than the magnetic holders because everyone in the car can use them. The only thing I don't like about this mount is that it doesn't close automatically. I wish there was a button that automatically closes the clip on the phone. The sticky suction cup works well, but can come loose with a lot of pressure or heat (so use a vent mount as a backup). You must ensure that the clip is pressed firmly against the phone, otherwise the phone may detach and fall out. Overall, I think this is a viable option. for people who want to charge their phone while driving. It works as advertised. It's just missing the auto-close feature, which I love. So if you combine that with a car mount, you would actually have an "ultimate" car mount.
