That creates what I can only call a smile of light. It's a semicircle, like a slice of orange. The light shines across the road in a straight line and curves at the bottom to cover your bike with some light. However, when you turn, virtually all light from where you are walking is eliminated. Tilted to the right, and the right side goes down, and now there is no light on the road. Same for the left. Unfortunately, that's just bad design. Yes, and with the distant light there is nothing to brag about. It only makes a very small area a bit brighter. For that reason I would say that this is for show only and should not be used in a practical sense at night.
