I was disappointed with the tinny, odd sound coming from the internal speakers of our new 43-inch Smart TV. This soundbar changed everything. My goal was to hear voices clearly. This soundbar did that and more. The connection took about a minute. It was a bonus that an optical cable was included. Dialogue clarity is great and it almost has that surround sound effect. Background noise in movies and games is also very clear and clean. It's never going to replace an expensive home theater receiver and surround speakers (or take up that much space), but it did exactly what I wanted, which is great when your TV sound needs a little boost. I'll get another one.
