Of the limited options, this suitcase is the best choice

Update: A year and a half later, two of our suitcases (one for me, one for my husband) still look like new with no signs of wear and tear, and our iPads are widely available (I use mine for both work and play. The keyboards continue to work as usual and I use the keyboard three days a week. My only complaint is that when I turn on the keyboard it takes a few seconds for the Connected and warmed up enough to start typing. This is my first experience with a bluetooth keyboard so maybe it's typical. Overall we are very happy with these iPad cases and would definitely buy them again._________ On the Looking for cases with a detachable backlit keyboard to protect our new iPad 7, I looked at a Looked at all the options, read a lot of reviews and bought another brand. I had to return them due to problems with the keyboard and placing the iPads in their cases. Then I found a HOTLIFE case and decided to give it a try. It costs a few bucks more, and here's why: the keyboards work well, typing is great, they hold a charge for a long time, and both connect to our iPads instantly. We have no issues with the magnet mount - it holds the keyboard perfectly, and if the magnet were stronger it would be too difficult to adjust or remove the keyboard. This case has channels on the inside to securely hold the iPad in multiple positions - the previous case had the same non-slip surface with no channels, and when reading from the iPad on your lap (not a flat surface) it slipped and ended up falling off the top. You won't slip with it. I can't say anything about the durability at the moment, but will update my review in a few months. I don't usually like products with sticky names, and HOTLIFE has to be one of the worst company names I've ever seen (with embossed silver letters!). But the case is excellent and I can overcome this shortcoming. :)

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
