I really wish garbage bags were better and more environmentally friendly. This seems to be the best as biodegradability doesn't matter if it's muted, so recycled seems like a better choice. However, they are not very strong. I fluffed it up like you did to inflate it with air to toss in the bin and I got a whole one in no time. Won't fit around the trash can without tearing. Don't press or anything else, otherwise it may break. They work well enough for the trash but I don't really want to use them for recycling and definitely not for cat litter as that would be too heavy.
