It's really light and very affordable. I used a Makita reel from a friend and I will say the Makita felt a lot heavier than this Freeman. But Freeman did just as well, if not better. I was hesitant to buy Freeman, but the price was well within my budget. I had problems right out of the box. The safety switch is stuck. Really, really, really stuck. Don't look for help in the manual. The book in the box sucks for troubleshooting. The internet is no better for help and tech support. Well, what can I say, it was weekend and I think they don't work weekends (I think it's good for them). If it wasn't for the project I've already started I would have sent it back for a replacement. a ball bearing under the switch, not rolled out of the groove, that locks in safety or fire mode. I had to pry it open (don't try, I was desperate) to get it out of the groove to cock the gun. After that he worked like a champ! Blue grease is blown out through the exhaust. So make sure you don't wear white and aim it away from your face. If it wasn't for the security switch issue I would have given 5 stars. I'm not a profi; easy youtuber do it yourself. And for my hardi siding project this gun worked. I would buy this gun again.
