So many errors. Sometimes you can literally do everything perfectly and still lose to a last-second blue projectile hit. This is especially annoying when you should have had a much bigger advantage. If you look at the AI, you'll see that they're not very experienced, but somehow they're always right behind you. When they stand in front of you, it's impossible to predict which crate they'll get because they move back and forth in random directions. In 200cu. See, you have to hit the brakes and the AI doesn't. I read that it was very difficult in the first Mario Kart because instead of creating smart racers with artificial intelligence, they just gave them an unfair advantage. They're still lazy after 20 years. I don't mind losing to be honest, but it's very frustrating when you haven't done anything wrong. The strengths and weaknesses of the car are also imprecise. I choose a vehicle that is better than the one I use and has less control, although they claim to have better traction and handling. Another BS addon lets you pay to play online. It was free on the Wii. All unlockable items are useless. You might think that every time you unlock a vehicle it's better than the one before, but that's not the case. Passing each level will give you golden Mario, but he is no better than other characters. I would say the worst thing in the game is hitting 4 in a row and moving from first to last. This goes back to a point I mentioned earlier. Not only should you not be able to be hit that many times in a row, but it doesn't make sense for everyone to be right behind you in most cases, even if you behave perfectly. Like I said before, losing isn't too frustrating, but losing when it doesn't make sense is very frustrating. Especially when you have to be 1st in 4 races in a row to get 3 gold stars. Out of these 4 races, one of the tracks is sure to have a bug that will deprive you of 3 gold stars. And another shortcoming, after that you can't just repeat the race. All 4 races must be started from the beginning. And with 200cc it's no fun. You have to hit the brakes all the time (some tracks are more annoying than others) and it doesn't make sense from a physical point of view. Whether you're going really fast or just starting out, you'll have the same crappy control. Sometimes you get stuck in the wall even when braking. Another absurd thing is the acceleration you get when driving behind people. If everyone rides close together, you'll get an unnecessary boost that will sometimes send you flying over the edge on levels like Rainbow Road. Again, this is particularly frustrating as sometimes it's unavoidable and not your fault. Also, levels like Rainbow Road put me in first place and only got mushroom buffs, which you can't even use due to the lack of a straight track. I'm sure there are more downsides that I haven't thought of, but I'll leave it at that for now. Since I've included so many cons, I'll also list some of the positives. Ways to stop the blue shell - until you reach 200cc (be lazy like cheating on AI drivers). I like playing old levels, but there should be more new ones. - Lots of characters to choose from - Rain looks pretty cool Just like the cons, there are probably some positives that I forgot
