GENIUS. They are such a simple product but honestly I get nervous every time I use them. I will explain. I'm a photographer and I love being outdoors and backpacking. With a full 60L backpack on my back, I've always had a hard time deciding how to transport my camera. I've never found a harness system that I liked and I can't use my Black Rapid cross harness with a backpack and the standard neck harness quickly becomes very uncomfortable with all the weight on my neck. . Somewhere in my search I came across these belts and ordered them as they are so cheap.! This is exactly what I've needed for so many years. One side goes into the loop of my shoulder strap and keeps it secure. I was skeptical about the clamping mechanism, but after playing with it for a while and tugging vigorously, I have complete confidence in it. The other loops around my standard strap attach to my DSLR. When hiking, my camera is ready so I can pick it up and shoot while it's attached, or after 3 seconds I can detach it and shoot with more freedom. Of course, when attached, I can only shoot horizontally, but I found that I could only detach one side and quickly shoot vertically as well. Another plus is that when using a tripod I don't have a long strap to worry about getting in the way or being blown away by the wind. /walking it will bounce slightly on your chest. No problem. If you are placing a base plate with 90 degree or sharp corners on top of the camera, be aware that bouncing can become very uncomfortable if the base plate is protruding from the back of the camera. I learned this the hard way as the angle (hard plastic) went right into my sternum. Pretty uncomfortable. Besides, you will love them!
