The Seiko SRPA27K1 is an excellent automatic dress watch that can be used on many occasions. I'm surprised to find a 4R36 (hand-wound) in such an affordable Seiko. It has a beautiful inky black dial with beautiful silver hour markers in a classic design. For me, it's black oxford shoes with a watch cap, one of those things every man should have, a watch that can be used for formal serious occasions like a job interview, business meeting, funeral, etc. I would replace the straps with a ColaReb. A simple black leather watch strap that emphasizes the understated and formal attributes. While I prefer it as a formal watch, you can use it as a semi-formal or casual watch with matching strap options, and with social events now being put on hold, I use this watch around the house and wear the Seiko Cocktail bracelet. on what a good combination is. The big issue now is the size of the 42mm watch. I would say you need a 7 inch wrist size or larger so they don't look disproportionate as even Rolex will be using 41mm in most of their future watches. Bigger watches are still in trend. So if you're the right size, these watches represent excellent value for money. I would compare it to the Bambino which is amazing but has such a vintage feel while the Seiko is more modern. They remind me a lot of Patek Philippe Calatrava 5227G-010. I highly recommend this watch.
