I bought this toy for my 9 month old grandson who loves toys that move. I thought he would really like this toy but as soon as I turned it on my grandson didn't want to participate. Once the button is pressed and the gears begin to move, the sound of the toy's gear becomes very loud, to the point that it drowns out the music or the sounds it is playing. It is very interesting to look at and we tried to interest him several times but he refused to even look at it. Another disadvantage is that the gears don't stay in place so if the toy is lifted and not leveled all the gears will fall off the toy. I gave it 3 stars because it's an attractive toy and if the noise doesn't bother the child it can be fun to interact with. But the loud noise and falling gears plus the kid refusing to even look had to deduct 2 stars. I will return it and try to find something else.
