Spend your extra dollar and buy one made from the finest material. inches thick. But I found the color and pattern of this "turquoise marble" attractive and spontaneously ordered this item without reading any reviews. Personally, the "coaster” is nothing more than a circle of non-slip rubber with a fabric image laminated on top. The photo in the ad is much nicer than the actual item. The upper has an almost "washed out" feel, the marble pattern isn't outlined, and I don't expect it to help absorb condensation under a cold glass or mug.
