Review on SAKAI Pneumatic Hydraulic Pulling Automatic by Adam Bates

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic rivet gun, amazing suction

I have another rivet gun that I have had for about 10 years. It serves me well, but I have a project involving thousands of rivets and decided to explore other options. When I stumbled across this one I found the suction feature interesting, there weren't any reviews so I took a chance and bought it to check out. Wow, that's nice. The suction function is excellent, even when riveting, when the gun is pulled vertically it just sucks the pin straight into a small collection container ready to load another rivet. In addition, the fit and finish is excellent. Handling is smooth and precise. The trigger only needs a little pressure and you're good to go. My old shotgun had a much bigger trigger and while that seemed good, I really don't want to look at the old thing anymore. it goes with Because of the suction feature, you have to slide the collar right over the air intake of this gun to turn it on. Because of this, for the first few minutes I thought I screwed it up. I was wondering why I pulled the trigger and nothing happened. I looked at the manual and it vaguely mentions something involving the air supply, but the picture didn't show that. So if you buy this, just know to look for it. It's not enough to take this rating off 5 stars because one day I realized it was my new favorite tool.

Pros
  • The rivet gun is relatively silent, very convenient and fast, saves a lot of time when working. Gentle trigger eases repeated riveting operations.
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
