Review on 🔥 Powerful KitchenAid KSM8990OB Commercial Countertop Mixer - Perfect for Professional Kitchens by Kachilla Mountain

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The Kitchenaid quality of the 80s is finally back!

Remember when KitchenAid made great mixers (when they were owned by Hobart)? One that didn't have any plastic or rubber parts inside? Passed down from grandparents to children? They took a break from that and started making lower quality blenders in the 1990s. This blender screams "old craftsmanship”. First, the all-metal gearing means you don't have to replace broken plastic gears after a year or two. Next is the noise level, it's a lot quieter than my old 4.5qt (flip top model). The previous poster mentioned that the machine was shaking, I had baked a large batch of bread (16 cups of flour) and the mixer wasn't moving noticeably). Blenders from the 1990s-2000s had a silver ring around the moving part. This is where the oil will leak out and ruin your bread. This car does not have this ring, the gearbox is sealed! It also doesn't have a spring that you attach parts to (although my old one leaked oil too). Best of all, any parts that get dirty can be immediately washed in the dishwasher because it's stainless steel, not that white stuff! One note: Inside the box is a strange rectangular thing. The manual doesn't mention this so I called and found out it was a chute for adding ingredients through the safety cage.
