Revainrating 5 out of 5

nice set of soft brushes--

Let's start by saying that everyone judges things differently - here's how I do it: 5 stars: Item fully meets OR exceeds expectations 4 stars: There may be improvements but the product is good 3 stars: item acceptable, but could be better elsewhere or needs improvement 2 stars: many or almost all things are wrong with the item, but it has one fixable characteristic 1 star: stay away! This is a bad buy. In these stars I try to include the product's correspondence to the description, the price, the comparison with other products I've tried and the ease of use. My reviews can be long, so if you want to check them out, keep an eye on the topic headings. Also, I try to update my ratings so they can change over time. My level of experience: I'm a makeup lover, not a makeup artist. First impression: I didn't expect to like it! They were packaged so well and I was impressed with the quality! They look just as good as some of my more expensive brushes I got from BoxyCharm. Color: They match the color - nice shade of mint - Smell: I would like to warn anyone having trouble with their order that when I first received it - through the box - I smelled a strong odor of chemical glue. It turned out that from the bag. I opened the package by bending it to stay open and after two days everything was fine. Wow! I was concerned because I really liked the bag and I wasn't sure I could handle the smell on my hands. (Thankfully I've never smelled them) Application: I find them soft - sometimes not the best option because you want to spread more on the brush - but they work well. When testing brushes I like to pull out my trays that have the LOWEST yield to see what they pick up and I've been pleased with the results. I'll be using some harder brushes when mixing and matching, but I find this to be a good starter kit even without the harder brushes.
