Not leathery, not durable but will do the job.
So my first seam ripped trying to see if a tube of lip balm would fit inside. They work, although I will say they were made for retractable pens, not transfer cap pens. The rest of the pen can easily be lost if the cap remains in the holder while the pen is released. Although it depends on the pen designer. They work and overall I'm happy with them. They have served their purpose, I have ordered others in full metal (looks like big paperclips) and will try them as well, also plan on making some "full bodied" versions of these for my more expensive fountain pens and such. where I might cry if I lose the bottom part of the pen.
