I bought these for my wife so she will be writing this review. I have had my tongue pierced for the last 14-15 years and the ring on my tongue that I have now has been for several years now. In the end I decided to get new ones as the ones I have now are pretty broken. Tongue rings like the ones I have (and have since the day I pierced them) seem to have gone the way of the dodo as I can't find them anywhere - including here; I wear 16G with bigger eggs (can't tell exactly how big they are but apparently a lot more than 5mm). So after much grief over the loss, I gritted my teeth and tried these out. The only good thing about this experience is that the tongue rings appear to be of good quality, but since I can't wear them I can't say for sure how well they hold up. First off, the length of the barbell is partly my fault. I say partly because from the way they measure it I needed 15mm and as with the caliber and size of the ball it's obviously wrong too. I didn't think I could work with 16mm so out of caution I made a mistake and went for 14mm. Which was a big mistake as I understand it. It's so short it barely crosses my tongue. But I'm stubborn and keep trudging and finally manage to get the ball. Only to find that the eggs are SUPER small compared to what I'm used to. So small that I was really worried it would pop right out through the hole in my tongue - they looked so small to me. Needless to say, the tongue ring didn't last long in the mouth. I would try to get a bigger size. But there's no point in my worrying about 5mm bead sizes all the time
