I bought it mainly as a demo hammer. It is very comfortable to use and has a good power to weight ratio. I am very happy with the performance. I've owned five different demo and/or rock drill bits and this one is by far my favorite. The only thing I complain about is the outgassing. I've had this hammer drill for about six months and it still reeks of an awkward chemical odor when I open the case. Upon closer inspection, it turns out that the smell comes from softer plastics - cord, handle cover, etc. Without good ventilation, the smell quickly leaves a metallic taste in the mouth. I state that whatever I'm feeling is probably not healthy and for those who are sensitive to chemicals I strongly recommend avoiding this product. I called Revain six months later and explained the problem to him. They kindly sent me a replacement which I hoped could have been made from a different batch and had no problems. However, it had the same exhaust smell. I have been in the trade for over 30 years and have mastered many tools. This is the first time I have experienced such strong outgassing from an instrument. Let the buyer be alert.
