Too big to carry best in my review

I should have read the length carefully, it was way too long to carry in my scrub pockets. It seems well built. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Easy to clean and sterilize
Cons
  • Too sharp and pokey for kids or inexperienced users

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Pretty low quality, don't expect much.

Just when you thought quality couldn't get any cheaper than something made in China you come across a product like this that is "made in Pakistan".The hinges are pretty loose, not really sure how long these will last. The jaws are crooked and since they didn't line up well they just kind of ground away and made the tips of the jaws oval shaped. The straight pair you have to *really* clamp down hard to get just the first couple locking notches, whereas my curved they will lock all the…

Pros
  • did what it is supposed to do
Cons
  • Too lightweight to handle heavy-duty jobs

They are very good quality but giant

Too big to use for dewclaw removal. Super sturdy and good quality just not the size I needed. Will keep as I don't like returning things. Too much of a hassle. Will give to husband to use for fishing trip.

Pros
  • Great for getting hooks out of smaller mouth fish GENTLY. also good for tying knots in lines etc.
Cons
  • The locking mechanism can be tricky to use

I bought these for my husband because I gave his away to a repairman who had never had a pair for DIY projects. They are great for grabbing things down in small places, like pulling wires through small apertures, and automotive repair. Unfortunately I bought ones bigger than my hubby wanted, so I will order some smaller ones next. The quality of these seems just great so far, and the price was low. They lock well. I don't know how they would actually perform for surgery. I hope if I need surgery

Pros
  • B000W1Y9YU
Cons
  • The tips don't match perfectly when locked, which affects precision

Great customer service!

I ordered two sets of these hemostats to use for tie dye. When they arrived, one of the sets had a hemostat missing. I sent a message to the vendor and they responded very quickly and sent me the missing hemostat. Very good customer service! I will buy from them again. Hemostats are exactly as described and in great shape.

Pros
  • 8 x 4 x 1 inches; 4.8 Ounces
Cons
  • The locking mechanism may cause unintentional crushing or pressure

Printer Repair for my opinion

I purchased these hemostats due to length and price. I needed something I could use to remove the torn pieces of a printable mailing label that were jamming my printer. They were perfect for the task. After this I will throw them into my toolbox in case I ever need to fix the printer again, or maybe for working on the car.Edit: I have also since used them in the replacement of a fuel filter on my riding mower.

Pros
  • These are a good size and are easily controlled.
Cons
  • There's no flexibility in the metal tips

Work well - no rust.

I abuse most of my tools. These get thrown in the heap of other tools. They clamp and hold small items really well. Not scratched up or rusted yet!

Pros
  • 100% stainless steel construction makes these fully autoclavable, easy to sanitize
Cons
  • The tips can bend after heavy utilization

Very substantial. Makes hook removal easy!

These are a bit bigger than what I normally use but they are very sturdy and make hook removal very easy. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Serrated jaws for improved grip
Cons
  • Too costly compared to its competitors

Good quality in my review

I use it to pluck the ear hair out of my dogs. Fits easily in their ear canals and grabs on the hair nicely. They don't enjoy it but I know they're satisfied after a good ear plucking.

Pros
  • Helpful for gripping and holding materials during sewing or embroidering
Cons
  • Metal tips tend to lose effectiveness after a while

Thick Jaws in my review

The product is well made and sturdy but the jaws are too thick to get into anything close to a tight place. Spreading the jaws to grip makes it impossible without plenty of room. I could not use for my project so I ground the thickness down. The material is hard and did not grind easily (which is good). If access space is not a problem, I highly recommend them.

Pros
  • Instruments & Surgical Tools
Cons
  • The plastic handle can slip in greasy fingers

A good tool to have

I bought these to fish out gas filters from the small tanks of Hedge Trimmers etc and they will be just fine for that. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • A must-have for any DIY enthusiast's toolkit
Cons
  • It doesn't come with a storage case for easy organization

great value best in my review

great value, nice tools. these are nicely made, no rough edges, Good finish on the tools.I use them for hobbies - fishing etc. they are big but that's what I wanted, I have 5 & 6 inch versions and these complete the set. I'm a gadget guy so I love them. I had to shop around to find these at this price for two units. I will use the straights for other tasks and the curved tip for hook removal when fishing.the locking tabs don't seem to line up but they lock up just fine. I'm picky so I noticed…

Pros
  • When it’s gets down to the last notch it is a pain the @ss to unclintch it
Cons
  • The straight tip is too long for some needs

Great to find this size

Great product, I have been looking for these for a while. These are just the size I was needing for my projectsGood quality, nice weight, sturdy and since I am using them for dying, they hold my projects perfectly. Will buy again.

Pros
  • Works as described...good for all kinds if uses...
Cons
  • Bent to easy. Is what it is for the money

Revainrating 4 out of 5

they are perfect for what I want

they are perfect for what I want, but I wish I had ordered the 4 or 5 inch ones as well. I really need the shorter length for another project. So it is back to the online shopping for me

Pros
  • Sturdy, efficient, right amount of metal
Cons
  • It's not effective for larger tasks like industrial sewing or welding

as advertised good for me

I use these to pluck my dogs ear hairs she doesn't mind and wi.let me while we watch TV. They lock in place fine arrived in one day thanks prime no more smelly ears

Pros
  • Versatile tool for medical applications and beyond
Cons
  • Prone to leaving marks on delicate materials

Great for the shop best in my review

I broke my curved set at the hinge joint & decided to try these. The size is great for grabbing those small screws that seem to drop down into small recesses on a engine block or for holding small pins to get them started with a punch when Vise-Grips/needle-nose pliers are too large. These have the locking features & serrated jaws. Made in Pakistan out of Stainless Steel. A bit on the large side if one was to use them for suturing flesh. Quality is great for a shop tool & they're inexpensive to

Pros
  • Each hemostat is 8" in length
Cons
  • The tips can detach from the plastic handle easily

Exactly What I Needed

These are nice and long. They went right into my sewing box.The draw string got stuck in my daughter's shorts. The long, thin design of this tool was exactly what I needed to grab the string and pull it back out. Perfect.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • The locking mechanism may be too tight for some users

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Solid Purchase good for me

Pro: They seem well made and don't seem like they are prone to rusting. I will use them for electrician work and not surgery and they seem acceptable for that level of dexterity.Con: They are a bit beefy. I was expecting the ends to be smaller and more nimble.Conclusion. Make sure that the 8" is the size that you want. I guess in my mind, 8" is bigger than i thought. Next time I will order the size smaller.

Pros
  • This pair of Hemostats are great. Good feel, quality, and functionality.
Cons
  • Plastic handle can easily crack and break

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good hemostats for mechanical work

I use these as small locking pliers where regular pliers don't fit, to hold/pull wires, screws, nuts and things like that. They are well machined, have no burrs, have good clamping force for what they are, and look like they'll last the test of time.I can't speak for medical use as that's not what I do with them.Made in Pakistan.

Pros
  • Just what I was looking for.
Cons
  • It has difficulty holding items securely

Revainrating 5 out of 5

perfect for those w central lines and RA

to remove extensions and or disconnect from fluids I used these frequently. I thought they were much smaller when I ordered so at first glance I just laughed and laughed at how comically large these were compared to what I thought I had bought. BUT! I have severe joint pain at times w my RA and the 8 inch length helps so much for disconnecting fluids and or changing out my extension lines. I am even getting my home health nurse a pair she loves them so much too.

Pros
  • These are a good to use. They are sturdy and could be good for hobbies.
Cons
  • too big! cant even fit my fanny pack or would stick out awkwardly in pockets. will be returning :(
