Description of Continental ContiCrossContact LX2 225/65 R17 102H summer

Continental ContiCrossContactTM LX 2 - Superb on-road and light off-road handling. Excellent braking performance on dry and wet surfaces, as well as very good handling. Long mileage and high driving comfort. Excellent traction characteristics in light off-road conditions. Like the previous model without the “two” in the name, the Continental ContiCrossContact LX2 summer passenger tire is designed for crossovers and SUVs, most of which are used on asphalt highways and dirt roads. From its popular predecessor, the new German tire giant differs in increased braking efficiency, both on dry and wet roads, which ensures a higher level of safety. In addition, this model boasts excellent handling and low noise levels. And, of course, the Continental ContiCrossContact LX2 is perfectly suited for driving on country roads and light off-road. Since the tire was originally intended for use mainly on paved roads, the German tire manufacturers preferred to use a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern with massive blocks. At the same time, in the central part and shoulder zones, they are interconnected by rigid bridges. Thanks to this technical solution, it was possible to solve several problems at once. First of all, this is the lightning response of the tire to the steering wheel, which greatly facilitated the process of control. In addition, directional stability has been significantly improved, due to which the tire has gained stability when driving at any speed. It is also impossible not to note the decrease in rolling resistance, which most favorably affected the fuel efficiency indicators. Despite the small number of tread blocks by modern standards, this tire compares favorably with the highest braking efficiency, especially on wet roads. This ability appeared due to the many straight lamellas. These tread elements simultaneously perform two functions at once. First of all, this is the creation of additional grip edges that appear at the moment the lamella comes into contact with the road surface. In addition, when driving on a wet road, the sharp straight edges formed by them remove water from the contact patch, directing it into the longitudinal drainage grooves. This results in a higher hydroplaning resistance. One of the key features of the tread pattern of this tire is the presence of two longitudinal ribs in the shoulder areas, which are distinguished by the absence of any breaks along their entire length. Like lamellas, they are multifunctional. First of all, they are a barrier to noise generated in the central part of the tread when driving. Thanks to the sound-absorbing properties of these longitudinal ribs, a higher level of ride comfort is ensured....

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

. In general, I am very satisfied with the rubber. I thought it would make noise and the consumption would increase, but it turned out that it was very silent and the roll was such that you had to slow down. It keeps the road perfectly on dry pavement. But not for a serious off-road.

Pros
  • Not noisy, road holding is excellent, on a wet track copes well. Comfortable, soft rubber.
Cons
  • did not reveal any shortcomings

You need to try it! For use (track + hard ground) it turned out very well. The soft sidewall is a little annoying, apparently you will need to monitor the tire pressure more often, but this is certainly done for a comfortable ride. So far, only pluses!

Pros
  • Very comfortable tire. It showed itself well both on dry and wet surfaces. Very quiet. It removes water well from the contact patch.
Cons
  • No deficiencies found.

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

Because I didn't require many evil things, I chose tires for mixed travels. 90% in urban areas. A small oversteer is felt with sharp turns since the car's behavior has somewhat changed. In addition, I loved the tires since they were more comfortable than the old ones.

Pros
  • Soft, quiet, and behaves well on slick surfaces
Cons
  • I haven't discovered any flaws yet

Instead of using ordinary bridges, I used the Rav 4 for it. Almost immediately, a difference could be perceived. Excellent traction on both wet and dry pavement. Maneuvers that can be performed with complete assurance regardless of the wind speed or the weather. On the gravel, they had good performance. Very quiet and comfortable tires. I would recommend these tires to anyone searching for a versatile option for their small crossover vehicle.

Pros
  • The tire has a pleasant ride and works admirably on both dry and wet asphalt. Not noisy.
Cons
  • Not that I'm aware of.

Good quality product, I rate this purchase excellent.

Excellent tires! Because of the city and the poor quality of the roads, it's the most. Naturally, the H/T bridge is going to be the superior option for the "German autobahns." The benefits of it include: Very low noise levels, exceptional softness and comfort, and overall compatibility with aquaplaning. You go - you relax! Having this drawback: At speeds more than 100 miles per hour (160 kilometers per hour), some discomfort. Additionally, the track is not in her wheelhouse.

An ideal product for any type of consumer.

Good tires! I bought a Continental Cross Contact LX2 in May 2022. I really liked the tires: they are great for long trips in an SUV around the city, they are quiet, they confidently keep the car on a wet track. In a word - I advise!

Pros
  • Tires are quiet, not noisy at all
Cons
  • Soft rubber, weak sidewall

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

Tire selection was made from similar tires visually according to the tread pattern. The protector was the most encouraging. The purchase is very satisfied. The tires are quiet, perform well on wet roads, and the car is stable at speed.

Pros
  • The tire has a really low noise level. Excellent grip characteristics.
Cons
  • Small gravel gets stuck in the tread.

On my TLK 200, I often have to travel to areas where there is no asphalt at all or it leaves much to be desired, the tire shows very decent results. The first thing that was immediately felt after going off-road was the comfort of the tire, which really “smooths out” the bumps in the road better. For TLK 200 with reinforced suspension, this is a big plus. Tires checked at high speed, on the sand and on the primer. I recommend.

Pros
  • Very comfortable, not noisy tire. Good handling on dry and wet roads. It performs well enough on dirt roads and light off-road. Before that, I went to the BFG All Terrain KO2 285/60R18 when I changed it, I realized that Conti CrossContact LX2 285/60R18 understood what comfort and silence are.
Cons
  • Didn't find them during use.

It is on a Nissan Pathfinder car, size 255 * 65 R17. Rubber above all praise. I bought tires in the spring of 2022, now September 18th. for 3 seasons with a run of 19,000 km per season (the mileage on them is about 57,000 km), the tread residue is approximately 2.5 - 3 mm. But next season I will buy. Holds the road perfectly, wet asphalt "aqua planning" does not notice how dry it is. Noise at a speed of about 150 km / h - but not critical. I didn’t check the off-road qualities much - but I…

Pros
  • Handling, durability.
Cons
  • THEY ARE NOT, except for the cost

A wonderful product, it's nice to use.

I purchased to replace the failed similar tires of the previous generation, installed at the factory. They ALMOST lost their resource - they planned to drive the summer season and, possibly, ride the next one, but, unfortunately, in the dark they flew into a narrow but deep ditch that the unfortunate builders left in the middle of the road when they were repairing it. As a result, a rupture of the side cord and, as a result, the entire sidewall with bumps, loss of tire rigidity. There have…

Pros
  • Quiet, perfectly removes water from under the contact patch, strong / strong sidewall, good tread pattern - it rides very well on asphalt and on the ground, including muddy ones.
Cons
  • The price bites.

I didnt see good quality, solid disadvantages.

I bought my father for an ikstreyl, before that he had been riding a bear for 5 years, and it would be possible to ride another season, but we decided to take a new one anyway. He drives a little and carefully, but it did not help. Bumps on two wheels after 2 months. Fierce bottom In all other respects, the rubber is normal, but what for, it is not needed.

Quality is top notch, happy with everything.

Rubber for 2022 reality. The accuracy of control is a little lost, but how it smoothes our roads is indescribable. An ideal tire for a large crossover for travel, especially for long distances. I put it on the Grand Vitara, there used to be bridgestone, the difference between heaven and earth, there was a furiously hard rubber, it feels like for a sports car with good handling for the track, now a car for traveling on earthly roads . I strongly recommend it to those who move not only in the…

Pros
  • Comfort
Cons
  • Control accuracy

Bought for Rav-4 in size 225/65R17. In a standard configuration from the factory, a Bridgestone 687 was on the car, I installed it in April, I thought I would finish the summer, but in June I decided to change it to new tires. When you change tires from summer to summer, you can really appreciate all the pros and cons. The first thing that was immediately felt after leaving the tire shop was the comfort of the tire, which really “smoothes out” the bumps in the road better. For a Rav-4 with a…

Pros
  • Very comfortable, quiet tire. Good handling on dry and wet roads. It performs well enough on dirt roads and light off-road.
Cons
  • Haven't found it yet.

I was surprised by the quality for the price.

Great tire. Size 225/65 R17 purchased on Suzuki Grand Vitara. Expected the tire to be noisier than any other road option due to the versatility of the tread pattern, was pleasantly stunned, completely inaudible. In addition, the tread pattern immediately makes it clear that they can be used not only in asphalt conditions, but also go out into nature and not worry. Before buying, like, probably, many read a lot about tires, but after driving on them, I realized that everything that is written…

Pros
  • Low noise, excellent handling, tire confidence
Cons
  • Until I discovered

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

It's time to change the tires due to the fatigue of the old ones that were (Bridgestone Dueler 697 A / T). There is not a particularly large choice for my car, so I would have to take either TOYO with DUNLOP or a European brand, but Japanese tires, although good, are harsh. Based on reviews and recommendations, I focused on the Continental ContiCrossContact LX2. Well, I bought it. Food, a smile from ear to ear, quietly, softly, there was a roll, just a fairy tale. What pleases is that on the…

Pros
  • Low noise level when driving, passes joints and bumps on the road very softly and comfortably, in rainy weather it is excellent with handling. Visually and to the touch looks high quality.
Cons
  • Did not reveal

Before buying, I asked for advice from knowledgeable people. The geography of my trips: city 80%, countryside 20%. I wanted the tires to be exactly like that, so that the ride was smooth on asphalt and that primers were not particularly to be afraid of. Friends recommended this model. They said that the tires are good both on asphalt and on light off-road. I've been driving these tires for almost a month and so far everything fits: both according to friends and according to the reviews that are

Pros
  • Really soft ride, rulyutsya well, and in the cabin, these tires are really not audible.
Cons
  • Didn't find

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing Ive ever used, a great item for everyone!

Installed in size 225/65/17 on the Suzuki Grand Vitara instead of the standard bridges. Initially Wishlist was to take something softer. According to reviews, "the Japanese are not the same anymore", so I considered European brands. As a result, I settled on 2 models: this continental and Michelin Latitude Cross. My mileage is 90% asphalt and 10% gravel/sand. The Michelin tread seemed too off-road to me, so I chose Kontik. Although on this rubber he sat down both in the sand and in the mud rut…

Pros
  • 1. Soft 2. Not noisy 3. Excellent braking on both dry and wet pavement 3. I hope for a sufficient resource (thousand 100 km). Although the tires passed only 20 thousand km. (since August 2022), significant signs of wear are not yet visible.
Cons
  • Feature of the protector - a lot of small stones get stuck in it

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice product, happy with my purchase and may buy again.

Acquired on the Niva, with the calculation of 90% asphalt, 10% off-road. On asphalt, of course, the tires are chic, the Niva has turned into a more or less comfortable car, a roll has appeared, the consumption has dropped a little, the joints on the asphalt are not even felt. BUT . off-road, nothing at all, the tread pattern clogs up instantly, so you have to move where it is drier. Although, with such a calculation, I chose tires, so there are no regrets, because most of the time I still move…

Pros
  • There is no noise at all, very soft and comfortable, on wet asphalt, it's the same as on dry. You eat with pleasure!
Cons
  • Even in light off-road it is scary to meddle, it immediately clogs up.

Dimension 225/65R17 on Mazda CX-5. Before Kontik, I tried to buy Michelin Latitude Tour HP for every car, I recommended it to all my colleagues and was not beaten at the same time)). At the present time, the price tag has moved it into the category of considered, but not bought. I bought LX2 with fears - the price tag is not much lower, but how it will show itself is a big question. There were cases of disappointment in the sets of Pirelli, Barum, Hankook is not always unambiguous, Yokohama…

Pros
  • Comfortable - softness, tenacity, does not notice the track, and even if it notices, it does not shoot out of it, practically does not squeal in a turn
Cons
  • Wear resistance is questionable - according to the recollection, only 30,000 km departed on FF2 PremiumContact, one season and all four were scrapped.
