Review on πŸƒ Black/Blue Garmin Forerunner 620 by James Ramirez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Love it, could be better with a nice dial and some basic features.

I'm a beginner (5 halves under belt, slow runner). Over the years I have researched how to improve my running form and speed. One of my recent improvements comes from using a metronome (Seiko DM50). My running form improved and I became more rhythmic. I've never used a serious Garmin so I may not be able to compare it to previous versions. I love dates so much. Pros1. Measure cadence without a pedometer. From my point of view, measuring the cadence is the most important thing. It's no hassle.2. Liked the wireless support. The synchronization is now very easy.3. Being a data scientist, I enjoyed seeing how I got along with vertical oscillation and ground contact time. At the moment I don't know how to improve it, but everything that is measured gets better! So I hope.4. I wear it to work - it's light and durable. I've never worn a watch in my life, so that's saying something. Sleek HRM: I've used HRM before, this one is pretty good. GPS signal: It's very simple, you can receive it in a few seconds. I've seen other friends struggle with their Garmin so I know Garmin has found a good solution with the 620. I'll add another star as cadence, vertical oscillation and ground contact time improve with the 620, judgment not yet out. A few things I didn't like: 1. Plastic? The dial looks thin. I wear it but still feel uncomfortable.2. No built-in metronome. This is a simple feature that could greatly increase its usefulness. I didn't find option 3. Excel import for training plan (possibly with Garmin Connect): Consideration of the performance of training plans. It would be easier if they had some kind of CSV file to import training plans. There should be more training schedules on the site (Galloway, FIRST, Hal Higdon and more). Maybe they are there - I couldn't find them. In general I like the watches I keep and I hope that with this watch I will improve my PR!
