Impressive progress for GPS trainer

Absolutely fantastic product, have been using mine for a few months now and have logged hundreds of runs and rides. My first Garmin was the 210 which had some flaws but showed excellent potential as a GPS tracker. Slow GPS lock reception, absolutely terrible charging/data connection, mediocre display. It was a love-hate relationship until the day the display started dying. However, the Garmin 620 is a revelation in every way. It records a lot more useful data, is a great bike watch when pairedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Still happy
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Steady running watch

I have been wearing this watch for 6 months after extensive research. It had some quirks when I first got it, but recent iPhone app updates have made the connection much more reliable. Also last month the WiFi connection finally worked and I can send training plans to my watch without messing around with the express. My main complaint about this is the restricted profiles. Considering this is a running watch, I hate that indoor running doesn't have an automatic activity profile to choose fromโ€ฆ

  • Easy to read control panel

Easy to use! on GPS, finders and accessories

I have been using the popular shoe company app on my popular fruit company phone regularly for many years. But I got frustrated in racing situations where the phone was overloaded with multiple cell tower pingers and wasn't particularly accurate. So I decided to spend as much money as possible on a GPS watch. And it was my birthday. I think I had one of the first Garmin running watches with GPS. The watch was huge and the GPS device that you had to wear around your arm was the size of myโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Love it, could be better with a nice dial and some basic features.

I'm a beginner (5 halves under belt, slow runner). Over the years I have researched how to improve my running form and speed. One of my recent improvements comes from using a metronome (Seiko DM50). My running form improved and I became more rhythmic. I've never used a serious Garmin so I may not be able to compare it to previous versions. I love dates so much. Pros1. Measure cadence without a pedometer. From my point of view, measuring the cadence is the most important thing. It's no hassle.2.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Working speed

Overall a great experience but there are issues.

I've been using this watch for about eight months now and feel I have a good idea of what it's like. I mostly jog, but occasionally go hiking with the device. I upgraded from an old Garmin (310xt) and was overall very happy with the unit. My first one broke (outside Revain's return period) but Garmin replaced it fairly quickly when I called the phone number. Online technical support never replied to my email address. Pros: Much thinner and lighter than previous Garmin GPS watches. My old 310xtโ€ฆ

The first Garmin product that disappointed me.

Our family had many Garmin products including the Edge 500, FR305, FR310, FR910, FR110 and FR10. While each might have a little quirk from time to time, overall they were really good, solid products that I would recommend to friends. The Garmin 620 is an exception as I wouldn't recommend it at this price point. I'll start with what I love about this product: it's smaller and lighter than most Garmin GPS watches. With GPS disabled, they can be a viable all-day watch with extremely long batteryโ€ฆ

  • Absolutely amazing!

Garmin gets it right

If you've read my review of the 310 you'll recall that I really didn't like this watch (I actually hated it). Well it seems Garmin has learned from their mistakes and created a real gem. The 620 is not only double the model number and 3 times the price of the 310, it's 10 times better! Here's what I like about them: - stylish - very easy to use - easy to sync - contains very useful information - this is a watch for runners - intelligently customizable Ok, it's expensive but worth every pennyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Great watch few flaws

After owning a Suunto T4D for several years I have decided to switch to Garmin as it seems to be a very popular watch with my friends who also run regularly and take part in competitions. While no one I know has a 220/620 yet, I made this purchase for three reasons: built-in GPS, wireless sync support, and a bright color display. I was (mostly) amazed. First off let me say this watch is WAY ahead of any sports watch I've had and after showing my friends what this watch can do I'm sure it'sโ€ฆ
