Review on MOSISO Laptop Sleeve: Neoprene Bag Cover for 13-13.3 inch MacBook Pro, Air & Notebooks - Black by Josh Maher

This laptop case is very well made as other reviewers have noted. No dangling laces or messy seams. A small case for an adapter or mouse is also very practical. Case and small matching case available in 5 color options; I ordered mine in burgundy which is the same shade as the picture in the ad. The version with handles and side pockets is available in 4 colors. The case is really attractive; smooth and streamlined (see pic #1). The seams are enclosed by a wide strong edging (see photo #2)... very nice. The zipper looks secure (see pic #3) and has piping running down the side (inside the pocket). to reduce the risk of snagging or snagging on the fabric - see pic #4. Also note pic #4 how nice, plush and soft the lining inside the case provides excellent protection from scratches as well as bumps and bumps. The inner lining of the small bag for an adapter or mouse is made of the same plush fabric. It has protective piping on the sides and the zipper extends from the bottom of one side of the case to the other and almost unfolds when fully open - see pic #5. In a review I read one person stated that the sleeve is too spacious for her laptop. Both the case (without handles) and the version with handles are available in different sizes: 11-11.6" / 12" / 12-13.3" / 14" / 15-15.6". It seems as if the case was "too big" for an incorrectly sized laptop case. I ordered my 13-13.3 inch case for my 13.3 inch MacBook Pro with Retina. As you can see in picture 6, my MacBook (thin hard cover) fits neatly and neatly into the laptop bag and prevents it from shifting once the bag is closed. I've read in other reviews that the case isn't really waterproof and soaks up water like a sponge. I tested it myself. I dropped water on the laptop sleeve. After waiting 15-20 seconds, I photographed the water, which mostly remained on the surface in the form of pebbles - see photo #7. After taking a photo of the water droplets, I used folded paper towels, to blot the water (apply pressure - do not wipe or rub) - see picture #8. As you can see in picture #9, immediately after wetting the water droplets, the laptop sleeve was relatively dry. Maybe not completely dry, but not wet either. In my opinion, a laptop sleeve offers some protection against moisture. Although the case is not waterproof, it is relatively resistant to water. This is one of the unique characteristics of neoprene - the fabric from which it is made. As for the smell, which some of the other reviews have complained about. Yes, I also noticed a slight odor from the laptop sleeve; The smell was very strong when I sniffed the sleeve up close. The smell is reminiscent of oil, which is not surprising since neoprene is made from oil. WHAT IS NEOPRENE? Neoprene is a synthetic polymer that resembles rubber, or in some cases a type of foam. It is oil, heat and weather resistant. In fact, neoprene remains flexible over a wide range of temperatures and is considered a good insulator. It also helps absorb shock and has some stretch. Some types of products made from neoprene include laptop bags, orthopedic supports, patio furniture cushions, saddle pads, cycling gloves and wetsuits (for diving). While the material is strong and durable, just like Superman, it has its own kryptonite. ; There are a few common chemicals to keep away from your new laptop sleeve. Boric acid, hydrogen peroxide, iodine, lard, palm oil and urine… all of these destroy neoprene on contact. BENEFITS* The Mosiso laptop sleeve (made of waterproof neoprene) is attractive and streamlined; It's elegant and looks professional. Combined with the neoprene material, the polyester foam layer and plush lining ensure that your laptop or tablet is well protected from scratches, dents, bumps and moisture - IF YOU REMEMBER TWO IMPORTANT FACTS: 1.) This is a soft case/sleeve, not a hard case. Because it's made of cloth and not a hard material, take precautions and handle your expensive laptop/tablet with care even when it's in a bag. 2.) Although the laptop bag is made of waterproof material, please avoid getting it wet. It protects against moisture, light rain or light splashes. (In such cases, remove the laptop from the sleeve as soon as possible, blot moisture out of the sleeve and make sure it is completely dry before putting the laptop back in the sleeve. ) It is not a good idea to Submerging your laptop sleeve in water or soaking it in a liquid while your laptop is in it.* Sleeve and grip versions of this laptop sleeve are available in multiple sizes and with a variety of color options to fit most people's needs. * The laptop case and small matching bag are well designed, well constructed and made of sufficiently durable materials. How does this laptop bag hold up over time? I've had mine for a little over a week but so far so good. Only time will tell how it holds up over time.* The laptop sleeve costs $14.99 and is great value. Because of the design and workmanship I give this laptop sleeve 5 stars. However, it loses 1 star in the CONS section for reasons listed. (I wanted to give 2 stars instead of 1 but argued that it wasn't Moseo's fault that I was so anally attached to potentially negative elements due to my current health issues.) I've found, that while neoprene has many good qualities (listed above), it also has a few less attractive ones. Oil based neoprene (hence the weird smell). Lead-containing compounds (which can be toxic) are also used to make finished products. For this reason, some people have an allergic reaction when they come into contact with objects made of this material. with this product.
