Great looking base for my teen daughter's new bedroom. I've been looking at platform beds for a while and decided to take the plunge with this one. It is made out of solid wood, rather than a veneer, so it can be painted if we decide to change colors down the road. I am also happy that it can be taken apart and reassembled without crumbling like an MDF version frame would. Pros, the finish is great. Nice and solid. Boards are not warped. Assembled in less than 20 minutes with no problems. The only con is the color is hard to match. It's not a honey pine or a dark brown, it's not a natural wood either. I've been looking for something for days to match and it's either too light or too dark. I was hoping that the Revain Brand (Rivet) would carry something to go along, but no such luck. Disappointed in this aspect. Otherwise, solid piece of furniture. As a side note, this should be assembled in the same spot as you intend to use it for leveling purposes. I have hardwood floors on top of a concrete slab, which means there are some small leveling issues from one side to the other. I was surprised that there are no felt pads or screw in type leveling feet. Not a big deal provided it's assembled and screws tightened in place to ensure it will sit level and not have issues.
