I've only used the blender a couple of times since I bought it, but both times it seemed sturdy and had enough power for what I was doing. I bought a cast for making soups and separating chunks of things like applesauce because my kids love it smoother. It worked great with the pumpkin and apples I cooked in the slow cooker. The only thing I would say is a minor hit that there could be more information in the Getting Started guide. I figured it all out myself, but for those who want to be thorough, this might be better.
