I had to get rid of all the excuses to go out at 4am last winter. The cold has become a debilitating tactic for me lately, so I don these ridiculously bulky sweatpants and a zip-up sweatshirt to get my butt out the door every day. No excuses. They are covered with what can only be described as a pile carpet. Thick neck. Like the 70s, but softer. Wonderful. I've tried several pairs of different brands and these were the best I've found. Very thick - so thick that they practically did not let the wind through. One downside is the leg length. I wear XS. They barely reach mid-calf. like that . . . that's an uncomfortable 4/5 pant length. And the pockets were poorly sown in the navy pair. Otherwise everything was fine. Lasted the few washes I needed and look forward to returning next year. If you're over 4ft 5, grab these pants and a set of crazy leggings in a fun color. Winter running back!
