Works and looks like new! I'm so glad I found this. I haven't been able to find a typist in stationery stores for several years. I use it every day in my office. It's way, way better than my old Sony machine. At the end of the tape rewind on the Sony machine, there is a piercing noise, which is very annoying. This one is silent. Also, this machine actually erases the tape. Sony isn't.
