Review on Top-rated Performance: ASICS Men's Gel-DS Trainer 25 Running Shoes by Paul Letho

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No more cleft shin!

I am an avid runner - 6-11 miles 5 times a week. I've switched between Merrell Trailglove 5s and just an older pair of Nike Metcons (500 miles) - shin splints have recently started prompting me to buy a new pair of running shoes for everyday use. I ride asphalt and dirt roads, do a lot of uphill sprints and here is my rating (1=poor and 5=excellent). Running on asphalt and tar as well as sprinting on level ground - 5. Dirt tracks - 4 - Blame it on the minimal profile, although the cushioning is ideal for trails. Sprint uphill - 3 - I aim for real ground contact - small inclines (up to 10 degrees) are acceptable for a score of 4. True inclines (any angle over 10 degrees is my favorite training point - 15 to 10). up to 20 degrees for 1/5 mile length) - 2 - I have trouble walking on the forefoot due to the padding. Speaking of True Lean, I will continue to use these shoes for uphill sprints as they are perfect for everyday running on a variety of surfaces and classes.
