I have been looking for a jacket to fit my husband*17lb Jack Russell (19" chest, 11" neck, 17" back for 2 years. all the medium sized jackets were too big and he accidentally urinated on the bottom edges of the jacket outside or his paw slipped out of the jacket itself, so a warm jacket was rarely used outside when we could help.Small jackets of all sizes we tried would be too short and only bid minimal protection This particular jacket offers warmth, fantastic full back coverage, has a strong velcro closure that is more adjustable than other jackets I've tried and the outer shell seems to keep the rain out pretty well (the hood runs large , but can be folded back ) Most importantly, my little one can stay warm outside while he does his own thing without the jacket gets dirty as the design of the bottom of the jacket resembles a harness. I followed the measurements given on the website, took a chance and it paid off.
