They fit nicely in my recessed lights after I swapped out the mount for a spring mount (quick/easy task). Being able to choose the heat is especially helpful as I was able to customize to my taste and didn't have to worry about the color beforehand. The choice of heat and price gives this brand an edge over other brands. I ordered 1 of 6 boxes and was so pleased with it that I ordered 4 more boxes. Of the 30, none were damaged or defective. They are very bright so you might consider a dimmer. I expect longevity but will update if any of them die prematurely.
