We decided to start a bunch of herbs and vegetables indoors this year. Collard greens, lettuce, peas, green beans, cucumbers, chocolate (moruga) scorpion peppers, sage, thyme, and basil. All did fantastic! We used 2 in a 4' x 4' space sine they're very reasonably priced and I didn't expect much from cheap LEDs, but it may have been too much. I had to keep them pretty high up to avoid stressing the plants. Now that everything has been moved outside, I plan to try starting another batch with just one light. Do be aware if you're growing in a smaller space that mine was kept in a 60F basement and the temps inside the tent were mid to upper 80's even with a fan constantly pulling cool air in. They do produce more heat than I expected from LEDs. Make sure you have adequate ventilation!
