This will not track objects if they move outside of your 100-300 yard range. It just remembers the last time you put it down somewhere. We bought it as a safety measure for our new camper and are returning it after figuring it out (tested it with a jeep - drove across town, left in another car and then turned on the app; it said it was still there parked. our house ). From what I understand Milwaukee is working on this GPS feature and when it updates we will be buying again. The good thing about this item is that the battery can be easily removed when it is attached to the device/vehicle, making it easy to store new batteries. Very well done. Great concept, just needs a bit more to really follow the hardware.
