While I'm not a fan of compression stockings, they had a positive impact on my feet almost immediately. I have severe heart valve problems causing swelling in my feet, ankles and calves. There are days when they are so swollen that walking is extremely painful. My doctor advised me to try these socks before resorting to surgery. The results were wonderful. By the end of the first day, the swelling and pain were gone. Wonderful.
