In some situations it's nice to have a splitter with an extended cable. This would be great for a dorm room or a mini home office that just needs a few things hooked up. In our case, we have a table in the middle of a large room, and it's a good ten feet from the power outlet. So this strip is perfect as it can support a laptop, an external monitor and two USB powered lights. It works great for us! The downside is that the strip is actually quite long, for only three power outlets and a row of three USB ports. It looks like two additional power plugs could be placed on this bar, but there are only three of them. It just feels like they've dropped in price in this band considering the price. I'm guessing the goal was to be able to fit three wide adapters in that one strip, but it still seems like they missed the chance to add another port or two.
