We have a Basset Hound/Beagle/Rescuer mix and it's hard to compare. The first "raincoat" we bought him was a yellow raincoat. He's a solid 55 lbs so I got a size XL. It fitted his body perfectly, but dragged the floor because he only has about 6 inch legs. Another issue was that there was no place to attach the leash to the harness. He has problems with his neck, so it is simply impossible to attach a leash to the collar during walks. There isn't room in many raincoats to attach a leash to a harness - THIS IS! I'm not sure if he likes the fur lining but it keeps him dry. I sprayed it with water repellent before the first application and it helped. I like that the velcro rolls up to keep the coat in place, but I had to sew them back on when they started to unravel. Because it's so low to the ground, it gets very wet underneath where the fur is. I just hang to dry. Will order another one soon as it rains so much. A love that can attach his leash to his harness is the only dog coat that lets me do that! Velcro straps keep it in place well.
