These are the absolute best cases. They last forever and keep their contents safe. The internal dimensions appear to be slightly larger than described, as the case tapers slightly towards the bottom. I love everything about this suitcase but I would pack it in standard cut foam. I don't like pinching and pulling foam. Not only is it not accurate, it also doesn't last very long as the prongs between the cubes slowly break it apart and it's very difficult to "carve" partial depths. For standard foam, cut out the shape completely, then cut the shape to the correct depth and replace the other piece. You can buy more foam from Pelican and other online sources. So if you're like me, it might be cheaper to buy an empty case and buy the foam separately. However, you can't go wrong with Pelican cases. Premium protection for everything you really need.
