Review on Furniture Defender Cat Scratch Deterrent: Protect Your Upholstered Furniture with Love πŸ›‹οΈ - Stops Scratching Cats - 2 Guards Per Package - Made in USA by Stacy Wheeler

Has stopped my two cats from using my couches as scratching posts!

We have two cats who both like to use our sofas as giant scratching posts. We tried everything to stop them (water sprays, duct tape, distraction toys, etc.) but our sofas looked pretty bad. I bought these furniture protectors to protect the fibers that were already flying around from all the scratches. First we trimmed the fibers on our sofa because they looked pretty bad. I opened the box and found the plastic sheets were just the right size for our sofas. They have holes in the corners and spiral shaped buttons. The installation takes about 60 seconds. Attach the plastic to the corner of the sofa, align it visually, and then screw in the spiral knobs. That's it, and the knobs won't damage your sofa. I suppose if you have a leather sofa it might be a different story. You could probably go to a fabric store and buy some plastic, but then you have to punch holes and find the spiral buttons. Don't try to make it yourself if you can buy it. This security guard did more than just make our couches better, he stopped my cats from even trying to scratch the couches. About a day later, I noticed that I couldn't hear my cats scratching. Then I saw one of them stand up for routine violence. She tried, stopped and walked towards the cat scratcher instead. I highly recommend this simple but effective defense.
