I bought this collar on the recommendation of a friend who keeps hunting dogs in the wild. After failing to stop my mini Labradoodle from barking at every person and dog we encountered while wearing a cheaper collar, I didn't have high hopes for this collar. ) dog to work so I was really hoping to get this barking thing under control so I could take it to work without it barking at customers. Let me tell you it works! And fast! She no longer barks at passers-by, in the car or at other dogs. I can take her to work! There are 5 strength settings to choose from. I set it to 4. It will alert them with a beep and then vibrate before sending the sock. I love it because I know when it works and so do they! The only downside I would say is that she has now learned that she can do this "whine" like she's talking to me when she's in the car and wants to jump in the front seat with me (what I do not allow). The collar does not beep. I'm planning to see if I can get the remote control version to see if I can fix this little issue.
