Review on Tamr by Derrick Lowell

I love that it's easy to get started with, very intuitive for users who are not familiar with databases or SQL. The product is designed well - you can see how everything fits together easily. It isn't perfect but we were able to make our transition from MySQL to Postgresql fairly painless as we moved along. Definitely check out their blog posts! They have some great tutorials which help explain things like indexes in an accessible way. We needed a scalable database platform that would support our application needs (high write performance, high read performance) while allowing us to migrate away from MySQL without too much work later on.Tamr has helped ease this burden for us by giving us more flexibility than other products at its price point.
