Trying to like in Computers and Tablets

Trying to like. Some of the things I wanted to do with this laptop were limited by the operating system. B. Play media from external storage, Chrome OS will do this, but you won't get many playback options. The vlc app from the chrome store won't connect to the external drive, so just a note. The laptop was great, light weight, loaded quickly, easy to use. It just lacks a lot of the other features I wanted in a laptop. VLC Media Player from the Chrome App Store failed to play media from my external SSD which was in a USB 3.1 enclosure. After some time of searching for the problem, I found that he just couldn't do it. My friend said he could play it via USB but I didn't. Chrome OS's native media player played files from the hard drive, but had very limited playback options. I couldn't get it to "play all" but just repeat one. Suffice to say I was frustrated at this point and didn't want to google how to get the media player to do what others "just do". In hindsight I guess I bought this lightweight cloud laptop expecting too much from it, like I said it's a really good product just not what I need in a notepad so I gave it another star.
