I completely invested in my car with this expensive $300 DVR after I was in an accident where another driver chased me 5 lanes on I95 after I was ahead of her on the HOV lane. She kept throwing things at my car. We ended up colliding when I was trying to get down the ladder. Then she started checking to see if I had a DVR, after which she took pictures of my car and tried to allege assault and say I hit her the next day. Find out she was driving someone else's car and doesn't have insurance. The car owner does. Needless to say my windows were tinted right after my car was repaired and I invested in a GREAT DVR with amazing video quality. I also wanted a 24 hour parking mode so I know I'm protected, especially if I live in an apartment complex. This has NEVER happened to me, but I've learned that people who don't have insurance tend to charge you for everything you have if you have good coverage. I'm still in the process with the health insurance company. , but I feel 1000% better with a DVR that records all three booths at the same time. Anyway my car was hardwired which was a little tricky but with the help of some youtube videos and my owner's manual I was able to connect my DVR to an external battery (Neo Cellular) which is hardwired to my car so do it I basically don't have to worry about my car battery burning out as the external battery is only used and charged when my car is on. Look, I'm not tech savvy. I am a 27 year old nurse living alone with my two dogs. Makeup, sleeping and eating are my hobbies. I managed to hide the wires in my car's posts and grommets so they weren't visible. I even connected the rear camera to the front so there are no protruding cables there either. I'll post a photo later. I have a 2015 Toyota RAV4 for reference. BTW: The only real problem I had was trying to figure out a fuse issue in my car. For some reason the battery was not charging from the car. With the help of my brother we found out that I didn't have enough fuse (fog) for my car. Ultimately, we didn't use Vantrue's external hardwire kit (we don't need to), just Cell Link's. I was also able to hide the battery under the driver's seat and also hide those wires in the fairing. Apart from the two cameras themselves, literally nothing sticks out. My car looks armored and awesome!
