I don't know if they were designed for use in slippers or not but the orthopedic slippers were REALLY expensive. My husband needed something that would provide better arch and heel support and not wear out. He had a cheap pair of Crocs that he wore outside to work in the garden and he liked their tailored pants. I bought them for him hoping they would help with his legs. So far, a week later, they are amazing. They're exceptionally well made, soft on the inside and shaped so the softness doesn't "flatten out" like most slippers do, and they have excellent traction on tiled floors. Definitely worth it, especially at a good price.
