It's very small. It's buttoned up. You can put a small cell phone or thin wallet in it. The bag closes with a zipper. It's the same lightweight nylon and lightweight plastic that make up the entire bag. It's not a heavy bag, but it's very convenient to throw in your bag. There are no rigid structures inside the bag. It will curl up or curl up into a very small bun. For crafts like my yarn, this is a great way to separate projects.
