I was hesitant about the light passage because I read some complaints and saw some photos of the light passage. Well, all those fears are unfounded while you're going black. It blocks a lot of light and if someone is standing next to it, you won't even notice the shadow. I also love the silky smooth texture. The photos show it looks like hard paper for some reason, but it's not even close. It is smooth, soft and blows in the wind like a regular fabric. My only criticism is the huge eyelet holes, they let in a lot of light. I know they're there for the poles. But I wish they had a stemless version. I've considered getting a cheaper curtain at half price because from what I've seen it doesn't really make a difference, but I'm glad I went with this one because at least I know it's light blocked.
