The controls are very easy to use and our 18 year old tabby says she loves it for its old bones! She was my lap cat until I bought her this, so now my lap will be empty until we put her into spring. We bought a second heating pad for a jealous cat and another one for our grandchildren. The timer has four duration settings, making it useful at night and in long cold weather. Looks very robust and is very well received! Based on what we've read, the third of the six temperature settings appears to be the best and safest for cats.
