Better than the black lint roller we're all used to in every way! have a stronger adhesive that picks up more cat hair in fewer passes. In the face-to-face test, I taped 2 square feet of the corner of my bed until it peeled off into a new sheet that didn't gather anything at all. I then walked through the same section with this inexpensive little guy and he picked up 19 more strands of hair from our 4 cats! I say cheap because it's good. Take a moment to compare. Look at how much you pay for this 9 roll set PLUS a roll and think how big a difference compared to just 2 rolls with no roll of tape (or any other brand). That's a pretty big difference. I am bedridden due to an autoimmune genetic disease which means I always have open sores, so keeping my bed clean and hygienic is absolutely essential. However, my son installed a cat door so our furries can explore the world freely. Unlike most people, I don't try to get rid of cat hair just for show. It would have endangered my health if I had cleaned my bed not only of cat hair but also of dirt I had brought with me. I am incredibly happy to report that it has been several years since my compromised immune system was exposed to any type of infection. The blades of these knobbed rollers come off spirally at an angle. We're used to the sheets overlapping so much that we lose half of each sheet for the entire second half of the roll. The spiral detachment avoids overlaps - so clever and yet so simple! The protective cover is great too. It's so simple, it's hard to believe a roller was never invented for the classic lint roller. It's nice to be able to put it down without worrying about it sticking to anything. The only thing I don't like about this lint roller is the color barbie pink, but luckily that's not what really matters. I have bought it twice and will continue to buy it. With 4 cats and my health, a lint roller is a must. I would be very disappointed if this brand was discontinued! UPDATE 4/19/19: Just ordered my third set.
