Review on πŸ” ASUS VN248Q-P 23.8" Flicker-Free DisplayPort Monitor with 1920x1080 Resolution and HDMI connectivity. by Rob Ford

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am very happy with my purchase

There is almost no information about this monitor on the Internet, so I hesitated to buy it. However, it seemed to have all the features I was looking for, so I took the plunge and ordered it. Let me tell you I'm very happy with my purchase. Also, my true rating for this monitor is 4.5 stars, but Revain doesn't match, so I had to give it 4 stars. Pros: 1. Gorgeous, vibrant colors after playing around with the settings. Something is missing from the default settings, but this can easily be fixed by adjusting Digital Vibration in the NVIDIA Control Panel if you are using an NVIDIA graphics card, as well as using the monitor's built-in landscape mode.2. The screen length of 23.8 inches offers enough working space.3. Faster 5ms response time than usual for an IPS monitor, making it a good match for a gaming monitor if you don't need 144Hz.4. Has built-in speakers (Of course, the sound quality of the built-in speakers on the monitor is poor, but it can be a nice help for those who cannot afford speakers at the time of purchase). If you want to use the built-in speakers, you may need to go to the Control Panel, then go to the Sound section, then set the monitor as the default audio device. Cons: 1. The monitor can shake a little. This is basically only noticeable when adjusting the position of the monitor or pressing its buttons. It doesn't really wobble in normal use.2. The product name says "DVI-D" but the monitor doesn't actually have a DVI-D connector. It only has VGA, DisplayPort and HDMI ports. I bought it expecting to be able to use a DVI-D cable with it, but I couldn't. Luckily my graphics card supported HDMI so I could excuse that.3. The monitor height is not adjustable. It can only be tilted forward and backward to change the viewing angle.4. Has a slight IPS glow. It's only really noticeable when watching a movie or in a dark place in a game. However, note that this is not enough (in my opinion) to interfere with movie/game watching.

  • It gets a little dark on the right edge, but otherwise everything is fine.
Cons
